Wilson Reading System Evidence of Effectiveness InfoSheet.docx
What does it address?
Wilson is meant to support a child with a reading or writing disability in the areas of reading, spelling and fluency. It is effective for students with dyslexia or persistent reading challenges.
Research Based Program
The Wilson Reading System is designed to help students who struggle with reading, particularly those with dyslexia or other language-based learning disabilities. Research has shown that WRS significantly enhances reading skills, including decoding, fluency, and comprehension.
Commitment to Success
Unlike our other programs, we recommend Wilson to be implemented twice a week (or more). That more intense program requires this. Note: If this is not possible, we can run it once a week (results vary).
Investment Details
This program is an investment of $100 per 60 minute session. The intensive training and quality of programming for this level of instruction is the basis for the investment.
Scheduling Recommendations
-
Twice per week (recommended): Best for building consistency and achieving steady progress.
-
Once per week: Available if preferred, though progress may be slower.
